Many have worked remotely during Covid, but under unplanned emergency circumstances. Remote work has now become a large part of our world, but employers are often concerned about whether emplyees will be responsible and productive when not in an office setting. This micro-credential allows employees to fulfill remote shifts under the combined supervision of their employer and managing instructors from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Within this semester-long experience, students will participate in virtual meetings, keep a work log, provide samples of written communication, and more. Employers may more confidently employ individuals who have earned this micro-credential, knowing they have been intentionally trained for work in a remote environment.
*Note: Employers will be expected to participate in aspects of this micro-credential for training and supervision. Employers should approve of this course before a student registers. For more information, please contact clsmith@se.edu.
